Campaign against Software Patents
Being retired, I prefer not to show my full address here; but you can use the form at the foot of this page to send me a message, and my reply will tell you how you can keep in touch with me, by e-mail or otherwise.
I am a computer programmer, retired, and amateur
archaeologist. My wife Pat and I moved to Dorset in March 2000.
We are members of the
Dorset
Natural History and Archaeological Society, that excellent body
that owns the Dorset
County Museum. Please support the Society and the Museum,
perhaps by
becoming
members. NB: all pages at
www.palmyra.uklinux.net
are my responsibility and not the Society's.
Main branches of this website:
| In archaeology, my chief interest is the Romano-British period, which is conventionally reckoned as AD 43-410, but really should include a century or so before and after. My main research is on the Roman Purbeck Stone industry. | Here is a short technical article about my use of computing in archaeology. | In computing, my specialties are the TeX typesetting program, Perl programming language and the Linux operating system. I work on a voluntary basis for the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society. As I am retired, my CV is of no interest. |
