I am a computer programmer, retired, and amateur archaeologist. My wife Pat and I moved to Dorset in March 2000.

In archaeology, my chief interest is the Romano-British period, which is conventionally reckoned as AD 43-410, but really should include a century or so before and after. My main research is on the Roman Purbeck Stone industry.

In computing, my specialties are the TeX typesetting program, Perl programming language and the Linux operating system. I work on a voluntary basis for the Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society. As I am retired, my CV is of no interest.
